CleanseUpon Waking
16 oz lemon or lime water (can go up to 32 oz). Optional: add 1 tsp raw honey.
Mid Afternoon Snack
Apple (or applesauce or pear), 1-4 dates, celery sticks, cucumber slices. Date substitutes: mulberries, raisins, grapes, or figs.
Dinnertime
Choose from: Liver Rescue Salad + steamed veggies (asparagus, brussels sprouts, zucchini, summer squash), potato/sweet potato/yam/squash with veggies and salad, soup/stew from recipes, millet with veggies and salad. ONE serving of lean animal protein allowed at dinner (organic chicken, turkey, salmon, trout, sardines only).
Lunchtime
Choose: Liver Rescue Salad, steamed veggies with Liver Rescue Salad, potato/sweet potato/yam/squash with Liver Rescue Salad, soup/stew from cleanse recipes (Chapters 22-23), millet/oatmeal with steamed veggies and salad
Evening
Optional apple/pear if hungry. 1 hour before bed: 16 oz lemon/lime water. Pre-bedtime: hibiscus, lemon balm, OR chaga tea (choose one, don't blend). Can add 1 tsp raw honey.
Mid Morning Snack
Optional: apples, applesauce, or ripe pears
Morning
Wait 15-30 min after lemon water. Drink 16 oz celery juice. Wait another 15-30 min, then eat breakfast. Options: Liver Rescue Smoothie, fruit bowl (papaya, berries, banana, mango, grapes, kiwi), oatmeal with berries/banana (gluten-free oats), millet cereal with berries/banana. Sensitive: start with 8 oz celery juice.
Notes
- Why Reduce Fat: Gives liver break from bile production so it can restore bile reserves and prepare for detox. Allows liver to absorb glucose better to build glycogen reserves for The 9.
- Allowed Grains: Millet and gluten-free oats allowed Days 1-3 only. Millet preferred over oats.
- Fat Guideline The 3: Reduce dietary fat by at least 50%. Avoid radical fats until dinnertime. At dinner, halve normal portions of fats if needed. Radical fats include: nuts, seeds, avocado, oil, olives, coconut, bone broth, all animal proteins, dairy.
- Allowed Fish: Salmon, trout, and sardines allowed at dinner Days 1-3 only. One serving, lean, organic/wild.

Notes
- Apples Importance: Apples provide critical glucose and pectin. Don't limit yourself - if 2 apples aren't enough, eat 3 or 4. Only stop when body says you're full.
- Liver Rescue Foods: Asparagus and brussels sprouts are key 'digger and cleaner' foods that prepare liver for The 9. Their specific nutrients help dislodge toxins.
- Asparagus Brussels Alternatives: If asparagus or brussels sprouts unavailable (fresh or frozen): substitute zucchini or summer squash.
- Salad Alternatives: If you have trouble eating salad: blend into Liver Rescue Soup, or make Liver Rescue Juice instead.
- Fat Guideline The 6: NO radical fats at all starting Day 4. Zero nuts, seeds, nut butters, nut milk, oil, olives, coconut, avocado, bone broth, animal products, or dairy. This is essential - fats would break the cleanse like grease dumped in dishwater.

Days 7 8 Upon Waking

Day 9 Early Evening
At least 16 oz celery juice. Wait 30 min after blended fruit, 15-30 min after fresh juice/water. Then can continue sipping fruit juices/blends.
Days 7 8 Mid Afternoon
At least 2 apples (or applesauce/pears). Celery sticks. Cucumber slices. SECOND CELERY JUICE: 16 oz (wait 60 min after lunch, then 15-30 min before eating again). Sensitive: split into 2x 8oz servings.
Days 7 8 Dinnertime
Day 7: Steamed winter squash, sweet potato, yam, OR potato + steamed asparagus/brussels + optional Liver Rescue Salad. Day 8: Steamed asparagus and/or brussels sprouts + optional Liver Rescue Salad (no starchy vegetables).

Throughout day: Two 16-20 oz cucumber-apple juices (50-50 blend) + unlimited blended melon OR fresh watermelon juice OR blended papaya OR blended ripe pear OR fresh-squeezed orange juice. CRITICAL: Enjoy each fruit separately, never blend or drink different fruits together.
Notes
- Cucumber Apple Alternatives: If allergic to apple: pure cucumber juice. If allergic to cucumber: pure apple juice or pear juice. See Chapter 21 for more options.
- Petite Adjustment: If very petite and can't consume all liquids, lower serving sizes but don't underdo it - need nutrients for elimination.
- Day 9 Melon Rule: Melon digests best alone on empty stomach. Drink blended melon earlier in day, before papaya or pear. Avoid melon after you've had papaya or pear.
- Day 9 Skip Hmds: Skip Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie on Day 9. Focus on flushing toxins. Remnants of spirulina, cilantro, barley grass powder, dulse, and wild blueberries still in system will continue removing heavy metals.
- Day 9 Rest: Take it easy on Day 9 if possible. Schedule as rest day. Consider nap time. Body doing maximum detoxification work.
