Addison's disease
Condition- EBV (Epstein-Barr virus): Addison's disease is caused by EBV — 100% viral. In late-stage EBV, viral neurotoxins disrupt the brain's messaging to the adrenal glands. The adrenals receive extremely inconsistent messages either to produce at full force or slow to a crawl, leading to adrenal dysfunction. This is the same viral mechanism behind Cushing's syndrome.
- Adrenaline burnout from chronic stress: Excessive long-term adrenaline output — from chronic stress, fear, performance demands, or constant stimulation — is corrosive and toxic to the body. Sustained overuse of adrenaline is like battery acid rushing through the system and can result in Addison's disease. The adrenal glands are pushed past their limit and can no longer produce adequate cortisol.
- Heavy metals: Toxic heavy metals in the body (mercury, aluminum, copper) are among the fuels EBV needs to thrive. Heavy metal accumulation supports the viral load that damages adrenal function. Heavy metal detox is part of healing Addison's.
