Bursitis

Condition
Bursitis is a viral inflammatory condition, not a mechanical wear-and-tear problem as commonly assumed. In Brain Saver Protocols, bursitis is explicitly directed to the Fibromyalgia protocol, grouping it with carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, muscle pain, and other mystery inflammatory conditions that all share the shingles virus as root cause. This is why standard anti-inflammatory treatments provide temporary relief but not long-term resolution — they suppress symptoms without eliminating the viral driver.
  • Shingles virus: Bursitis is viral inflammation from the shingles virus deep inside, whether you have a rash or not
  • Environmental toxins — immune-suppressing viral trigger: Environmental toxins including pesticides and herbicides on golf courses, parks, and lawns suppress the immune system and allow the shingles virus to become more active. Anthony William specifically mentions golfers developing persistent bursitis partly because golf courses are heavily treated with pesticides and herbicides, exposing the body through skin contact and breathing. This environmental exposure weakens the immune response against the shingles virus, allowing bursitis to persist and worsen.
  • Shingles virus — primary cause: The shingles virus (herpes zoster) is the true cause of bursitis. Anthony William explicitly states: 'Your bursitis is not going away so fast because that bursitis is a viral inflammation. That's the shingles virus. It's deep inside there, whether you have a rash or not.' The virus does not need to produce a skin rash to cause deep internal inflammatory conditions. It hides in nerve tissue near the affected bursae and excretes viral neurotoxins that drive the inflammation.
  • Weakened immune system — allows shingles activation: The shingles virus requires an immune system vulnerability to become active and drive conditions like bursitis. Immune system triggers include emotional hardship (betrayal, loss, divorce), foods that feed the virus (eggs, dairy), heavy metal burden, and dietary acidifying factors (caffeine, vinegar). When the immune system is compromised, the dormant shingles virus activates and inflames bursae, tendons, and surrounding tissue.
