Chronic ear infections

Condition

Age factor: Most of the time starts when we're young - usually picked up from parents, other children, or bathrooms
Viral causes: Some viruses also cause ear infections, including Epstein-Barr virus (though strep is the cofactor)
Primary bacterial cause: Strep bacteria - chronic ear infections are caused by streptococcus bacteria in the ears rather than the throat
Zinc deficiency: Zinc deficiencies are the core of why children deal with chronic ear infections - being zinc deficient causes these infections
