Spastic colon

Condition
  • Stress-related origin: Stress-related illness that can get kicked up when the physical body stays reactive in a heightened, spasmodic state after going at high intensity all day
  • Endometriosis connection: When endometrial cells grow on the outside of the colon creating little pods, cysts, adhesions and microadhesions to larger adhesions, it triggers off nerves. During menstrual cycle, pressure builds up and pushes those pods into the colon, touching nerves and causing colon spasms
