Faith Building - The Golden Rope From Heaven

Source: Medical Medium Podcast Episode 076

Summary Anthony William teaches how to rebuild faith when chronic illness has destroyed it. He introduces the Golden Rope meditation — a guided exercise where you ring a heavenly bell that vibrates fear, guilt, and shame out of your soul and body — and shares a supernatural story of a man whose car ran on faith for 15 miles with an empty tank.

Targeted Protocols (Step-by-Step)

The Golden Rope Faith-Building Meditation

  1. Lie down on your bed, couch, or floor in a comfortable position. Close your eyes.
  2. If indoors, imagine looking up through the ceiling, through the roof, straight up to the sky. If outdoors, envision the sky above you with eyes closed.
  3. See yourself traveling upward — rise above the buildings and houses around you, towards the clouds. Look down and notice how high you are.
  4. At the cloud line, see a golden rope starting to peek out from the bottom of the clouds.
  5. Reach for the golden rope and grab on with your hand. (You can physically lift your arm from your lying position if you choose.)
  6. Hold the rope with both hands. Let the rope start to lower you back down. Know this is the golden rope of faith.
  7. Come back to earth, still holding the rope. Pull on it. Feel the weight of a bell on the other end.
  8. As the bell begins to swing, gently ease off the rope, then pull again. Each ring vibrates throughout your soul and body — purifying fear, chaos, guilt, sadness, and shame, and vibrating those emotions out.
  9. The bell's sound harbors peace, power, and sanctuary. It clears the judgment and shame others have placed on you. It brings out the true being of your soul and starts to restore your soul, heart, and spirit.
  10. Ring the bell for as long as you feel you need to.
  11. When finished, envision the rope heading up to the sky until it's out of sight.
  12. Take a deep breath inward and release. Repeat this breath two more times.
  13. Open your eyes and slowly sit up.
  14. Come back to this exercise periodically to strengthen faith as needed.

Daily / Supportive Practices

  • Replace the Word "Fear" with "Faith"

    • Why: Words hold power and light. Every word you speak is heard from above — there is an audience. Replacing fear with faith rewires your emotional response and strengthens your spiritual reserves.
    • How: Anytime fear comes your way — on any level, in any form — see the word "fear" clearly in your mind. Then watch it get replaced, covered up, pushed out of the way by the word "faith." See the word "faith" in its place. Say out loud: "Faith. I have faith. Yes, I have faith." Repeat it over and over. You can whisper it or say it loud. Especially powerful to do at night before bed when fear creeps up.
  • Recognize the Pilot Light of Faith Inside You

    • Why: Even when faith feels completely beaten out of you, there's still a tiny flame — a pilot light — sitting deep inside. It's connected to your free will. Together, faith and free will are the combination that pushes you forward to heal.
    • How: Know that wanting to live and wanting to heal means faith is already there. That choice to keep trying, to see one more doctor, to read one more book, to try one more tool — that's your pilot light and free will working together. Acknowledge it.

Key Health Information

  • Faith is not destroyed by adversity — it's tested — Something inside a person of faith doesn't get rocked by setbacks. There's a pillar, a knowing, a conviction. When something doesn't work out, the person with faith says "something better is coming" instead of collapsing.

  • Chronic illness is where faith gets hit hardest — People who live with confidence and feel indestructible can get completely rocked when sickness strikes. After seeing 10+ doctors, spending money, going through alternative and conventional medicine with no answers, faith can feel annihilated. But the pilot light remains.

  • Free will and faith work together — Free will says "I'm going to keep trying, keep fighting, keep moving forward." Faith says "I know I can heal." The combination of both is what drives the healing process.

  • The supernatural exists alongside faith — Anthony shares a story of a man whose car ran for 15+ miles on an empty tank in the middle of the night on a desolate highway. He saw a bear that waved to him. Years later, a man named Bear with a bear cub in his truck came and bought the car. Faith produced supernatural outcomes.

  • Words are heard from above — Every word you speak leaves your mouth and is heard by a higher power. Speaking "faith" out loud carries real power. This is why saying it matters more than just thinking it.

  • You do not have a fear of healing — You want to live. You want to heal. That desire itself proves faith exists within you, even in its smallest form.

How many people do you know who struggle with their health? Chances are, whether they show it or not, most of the people in your life do. And chances are, you're one of them.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, endometriosis, acne, eczema, autoimmune, thyroid, Lyme, brain fog, fatigue, or any other symptom or condition, you're far from alone. Living with symptoms has become the new normal. So no more guessing games.
It's time to get answers. Welcome to the Medical Medium Podcast. I'm Anthony William.
We're talking about faith. So many people struggle with it. The word itself can be meaningless.
If a person doesn't feel it, doesn't know it. Sure, sure, I got faith. But when something happens, adversity, hardship, a struggle, wham, the faith is gone.
Or is it? Or over time, does it ignite? And you rise up and strengthen.
In this episode, get ready. Fasten your seatbelts for real, because we're talking about faith. Yes, that mysterious word.
So many people are worried about and struggle with. Let's get into it. Get a cup of tea.
Relax. Maybe some lemon balm. You're going to need it, because we're going to be building our faith.
Have you ever bumped into anybody where they say, I know it. It's going to happen. It feels good.
I could feel it. And you're like, what do you mean you can feel it? What do you mean it feels good?
How do you know it's going to happen? It's meant to be. It's going to work out okay.
I could sense it. I could feel it. And then you're like, how does that person feel it?
How do they sense it? You're like, well, I guess it might work out. I mean, this person's really sold.
This person's really confident. This person seems to have something. They seem to have a piece about it.
A knowing, and what that is, it's faith. That's what it is. It's faith.
And then what if something just doesn't work out? It doesn't pan out. It's not what anyone expected.
It's not what the person expected. It's not what the person was saying. But then when you talk to them, they're like, no, no, no, it's gonna be all right.
It's gonna be all right. It's gonna get better. Yeah, it didn't work out in that moment.
There's a reason why it didn't work out. Because something better is coming. Something better is going to happen.
That's why it didn't work out. And the other person's like, well, yeah, but it didn't work out. And now I don't know what to think.
And I don't know how to feel. And the other person's like, look, didn't work out in the moment. But there's a reason for it.
You gotta have faith. Things are going to get better. Good things are going to happen.
Things are going to get resolved. You'll see, you'll see. Just have to have patience.
See, there's something inside that person. Something that isn't getting rocked. Something that's stationary.
There's a pillar inside that person. There's a knowing. There's confidence.
There's a strength. There's something there. Have you ever run into somebody like that?
Have you ever talked to somebody like that? They just have this knowing. They have this faith.
They have this understanding. Sure, sure, sure. Something may not go right in the moment.
Something may go off course. That's just how the world works. That's just how it works out there.
There's reasons for that. But, when a person is rock solid with their faith, their conviction, their knowing, their understanding, it's not going to rock them. It's not going to take them down.
It's not going to throw them. They're going to be able to override it, move forward, with a knowing, with a strength, with faith. A big old earthquake hits.
The world trembles, the earth shakes. And there's a word of a tsunami. Is it coming our way?
Is it moving our way? Somebody is going to say, it's possible. There could be, but it's going to be okay.
We're going to figure this out. And if a tsunami is really heading towards somebody, heading towards the land, towards the coast, then it's the next move. Okay, wait a minute.
It really is coming. That's okay. We're going to hit high ground.
We're going to run for it. We're going to move fast. It's going to be all right.
And we're going to get to that high ground. We're going to get there. We're going to stand there.
And we're going to watch that big old wave come rolling in, tumbling in, crushing everything, but we're going to be okay. And we're going to stand through this. And we're going to stay alive.
And it's not going to take us out. And it's not going to stop us. So let's get running.
Let's get moving. Let's hit that cliff. Let's get to the high ground as fast as possible.
That's faith. And so many people, they got tsunamis in their life in different ways. They hit different problems, divorces, relationship breakups, the loss of loved ones, all kinds of different problems, confrontation, bullying, all kinds of different struggles and hardships and sickness, all of it.
It rocks our faith. But what happens is, as that tsunami is coming in, we have to have faith. We have to, because what other option is there?
Is the option, whoa, that wave is coming our way. It's moving fast. There was an earthquake.
It's heading our way. Ah, just give up. I don't care.
Nothing's going to save me. I can't beat this. I can't get over this.
I can't get past this. There's no way. It's not going to happen.
Big old wave is heading my way. And it's not going to work for me. I don't have that kind of luck.
So I'm just going to throw my hands in the air, kick back and just let the wave take me. And that's all I can do. Because that's the other way.
That's the other side of things. It's either that or, no, I'm not going to let this happen. Yeah, it's going to work out.
It is. And even if that wave hits me, even if it's coming my way, I'm still going to survive it. That wave is just going to kick me up.
I'm going to ride on top of it. I'm going to roll right in, land on dry earth and beat this. And that's faith.
And along with faith comes the supernatural. Yes, the supernatural. I remember a story many, many years, someone once told me.
It was somebody that came to me for help many years ago, about 25 years ago. And they told me a story that blew my mind. I never forgot it.
I never will forget it. They were on a desolate highway. They were on a highway at three in the morning.
And they were driving and driving and driving. And it happened to them when they were younger. So this is years ago.
And it was an older person telling me the story. And I said, tell me the story. I want to hear all about it.
I'm already hooked. And this person told me that they were on this highway. And no one was on the highway.
No one. And he knew that if he broke down or his car broke down, he was screwed. He was in trouble.
He was in a bad way, in a bad place. No help. Nobody driving by.
Nobody giving him a ride. And that was scary enough as it was, I remember him telling me, that if somebody was driving by, was it going to be a good person? Was it going to be somebody that you just didn't want to run into in the middle of the night?
But he was driving on that highway, and he was on empty. His tank was empty. And he knew he was in trouble.
And he was doing about 65 miles an hour and rolling along, moving along. And that tank went dry. It was on E.
And he remembers that when it's on E, when that dial was on that E, he only had a few more miles to go because he ran out of gas before. So he knew. But he was driving along, and he was just saying, it's going to be okay.
If the car stops, it stops. If I'm trapped and stranded, I'm trapped and stranded. I will survive somehow.
It's going to be okay. That he was driving and he had the pedal to the metal, this old car, and he was moving along, and he knows that tank went dry. He even heard a sound in the engine as he was driving, that first knock, knock, knock, knock, and he heard it and he knew that it was seconds, going to be seconds, and he was out and done.
He was just preparing himself. But something strange happened. It didn't happen.
He kept on going. That dial was on E, he was on fumes, he was cruising along, and he said, I'm going to make it. I don't need gasoline.
I don't need gas. I could do this. This thing is going to drive.
I'm connected to this vehicle, to this car, and it's going to keep on driving and keep on driving. It's not going to run out. It can't run out.
I can't have it run out right now. And he was moving, and he went another mile, and then he went another mile, and then he said to himself, this doesn't make sense. But he rode with it, and he kept on going another mile and another mile and another mile.
Next thing you know, he was 15 miles down the track, down this dark highway with no light, no cars, no anything, and he wasn't running out of fuel. He wasn't running out of gas, and he couldn't believe it. Couldn't believe it.
And he just sat there, and he started praying, and he started praying to God, and he started praying to God, and praying to God, and that's what he did. He just prayed and prayed and prayed, and he kept on driving and kept on driving, and then he saw an animal, an animal he never saw in that area. He never saw a bear ever in that area, in that part of the country, in that part of the world.
He just never saw one before. And it was sitting up on the side of the highway. And he swears to God, he told me that bear waved to him.
It waved to him. It wasn't somebody dressed up in a bear suit. It wasn't somebody dressed up in a costume.
And he said that it wasn't anybody dressed up in any costume. He was still doing about 60 miles an hour, 65 miles an hour. And he started slowing down because he couldn't believe his eyes.
And he drove right by it at what he thought was about 40 miles an hour with no gas in the tank whatsoever, he told me. And I had a reason to believe he was telling me exactly how it went. Should have heard him.
And he was in his 80s, and he wasn't telling just any old story. He swore to God, swore on his life. He swore on his family's life.
And he kept on going past that bear and it waved to him. Wasn't like the kind of wave like a human would wave exactly, he said, but that bear lifted up its arm, its front paw, and it waved to him as he went by. He thought he was hallucinating.
He thought he was tripping, but he wasn't. And his car still kept on going and still kept on going until he got to an exit, an exit where there was a fuel station sign. They pulled off that exit.
He pulled into that fuel station and he parked and his car was still running and then it died. It just died right there. He could not believe it.
And the thing is, he said, wait a minute, what if my gauge was wrong? What if my gauge wasn't set right? What if I had more gas than I knew and the gauge wasn't set right?
So he filled the tank and he always knew what it took to fill the tank and how much it would equal. And it blew his mind. He was riding on light.
He was riding on faith. He said it was faith that got him down that highway, miles and miles and miles down that highway to that fuel station. And he believes that there had something to do with it.
Somehow, the even crazier part of this whole story blew my mind. And I'll never forget it. Years went by, many years later, and he decided to sell the car.
And somebody came that was interested to purchase the car. They came. The guy got out of his truck.
He walked up to him. He said, hey, my name is Bear. And he went into this kind of like shock for the moment he told me.
Because it just wasn't that. He said his name was Bear. And he shook his hand.
He said, I'm interested in this car. And then he looked on the back of the truck. And there was a tiny bear cub in the back of the truck.
A bear cub, he said. He can't understand how or why. But a bear cub was in the back of the man's truck.
He asked him, what kind of animal is that? Is that a bear? He said, yeah, it's a bear cub.
The bear cub was in a cage on the back of the man's truck. And his name was Bear. And he came to purchase the car.
And he purchased it. Came back later, picked it up with someone, he said, and drove away. It's the last time he saw that car.
But he'd never forgot any of it. It's still to this day, didn't make much sense to him, but he knows faith had everything to do with it. He knew he could not break down on that highway.
It was imperative to not break down on that highway. And he knew he had to get through it. And he rode on faith.
And that part, he knew. The rest of it still was a mystery in his mind in so many ways. But he knew faith was everything with what happened.
And everything was what happened. And he never forgot. Now the one place faith really hits us hard is when we get sick.
That's a soft spot. That's a tricky one right there. So many people who live their life, they live their life with confidence.
They live their life feeling indestructible. They live their life feeling like, yeah, it's going to be okay. They got some peace in their heart.
They live their life. They're doing their thing. And then, whap, wham, bam, they're sick.
Something's wrong. They got Lyme disease now, or they go to 10 doctors, neurologists, pulmonologists, go to their doctors. They go to their general doctors, and they look for help, and they look for answers.
And then they're in the alternative market. DOs now, naturopaths, they're visiting chiropractors, healers. They're visiting everybody.
Coaches, herbalists. Then they're back to, boom, the neurologists, the regular doctors, the GPs and so forth. And they're looking for help.
And that faith dwindles little bit by little bit by little bit over time, and it just plummets. And they're like, whoa, I'm in trouble now. Now I'm sick.
I've been sick for a long time. It's been taking me down. It's messing with my life in so many ways.
It's causing so many hardships. Well, you know, health is wealth, yes. But man, I didn't know it was this bad.
I heard about that all these years. Health is wealth. I've heard about that.
If you don't have your health, you got nothing. If you don't have good health, you're in trouble. If you're somebody that's sick, yeah, you're going to be really struggling.
Health is everything. It means everything. And they know this.
They've heard this before. They've heard it in different ways. And then when you experience it, though, everything changes.
When you experience it and it's happening to you, and it's in the moment, now, now, health does mean everything. It does. And when you're looking for help and you've been sick for a long time and you tried so many different avenues and different things and you spent a lot of money and you saw a lot of people and you've been through hell and back, yeah, that faith can be destroyed.
It can be rocked. It can be annihilated. Some people feel like, wow, I just don't have any, any confidence left.
I don't have any faith left. I don't believe in myself. I don't believe in my body.
I don't believe in anything anymore. I'm sick. I don't know what to do.
And that's where faith is rocked bad. But no matter how bad things can get, faith is still there somewhere. It's a spark somewhere.
It's this little tiny flame, this little tiny spark of light sitting deep inside of you. It's there. Even though it may not feel like it's there, even though there's no faith that it's there, yeah, no faith that even that little tiny flame spark of faith is even there.
It can feel like it's beaten out of us, beaten out of a person. There's no coming back. But we do want to live.
We do want to heal. So what does that mean right there? Free will and faith have something in common.
That free will to be like, you know what, I'm going to keep on trying. I'm going to go to this next doctor. I'm going to go look for this next book.
I'm going to go check out this next thing. I'm going to look for answers. I have to fight for it, man.
I got everything to lose, but nothing to lose. I only got everything to gain. Only got everything to gain.
That's what happens. See, at first, people think they've lost everything, they have everything to lose, there's nothing to gain, there's no moving forward anymore. It's all lost.
All is lost. But not true. Not true.
There's this little flame that sits inside of us. Yeah, it's a pilot light. It's a pilot light.
And it's sitting inside of us ready to grow. That pilot light is sitting there, ready to ignite and grow bigger and send out that light, send out that heat. It's inside of all of us.
We want to live. We want to heal. We don't have a fear of healing.
You guys know that. I talk about that a lot. We don't have a fear of healing.
We can heal. We really can. And even if you think it's been beaten out of you and you don't even have one bit of confidence left, one thought that you can even move forward and heal, any faith at all, you do.
You do have it. It's inside of you. You can heal.
It's deep down in there. It's that pilot light. It's there and it's flickering.
And it's that pilot light that combines along with and connects along with that free will. And that free will and that pilot light of faith works together. That free will says, I'm going to keep on moving forward.
I'm going to keep on trying. I'm going to fight for it. I'm going to live another day.
I'm going to get through this. I know I got it in me. There's something there.
Or maybe, maybe, maybe it's just a little bit less than that. And it's like, I want to live. I want to move forward.
I'm going to try it again. I'm going to give it everything I got. And I'm going to try again.
And I'm going to do this. I'm at least going to try. I don't want to die.
I want to live. I want to move forward. But it's there.
That pilot light, that spark of faith is there. And your free will is there. And your free will is like, you know what?
I'm making that choice. I'm going to do this. I'm going to push through.
I'm going to heal. I'm going to somehow do this. I'm going to find a way.
And it's that combination of that and the little bit of faith you got left inside of you. If you think your faith is not that strong, let's grow it. Let's get it to grow.
Let's strengthen it. Let's do an exercise. Let's do a faith exercise.
Try lying down on your bed, on a couch or on the floor, in a comfortable position. Close your eyes. If you are indoors, imagine that you are looking up through the ceiling, through the roof, straight up to the sky.
So imagine you're seeing through your ceiling and up into the sky. If you're lying outside, outdoors, still keep your eyes closed and envision that sky above you. Now see yourself traveling upward.
Rise above the buildings around you. Rise above the houses around you, towards the clouds. And as you rise, take a moment to look down and notice how high you are.
You reached the cloud line. And there, starting to peek out from the bottom of the clouds, you see a golden rope. So envision that golden rope.
You reach for it and grab on to the golden rope with your hand. If you choose, you can even lift your arm from your position as you're lying down, as if you really are reaching for that golden rope. Keep hold of that rope with both hands if you'd like.
Hold on to it as you let the rope start to lower you down. You know that this glistening, glittering rope is the golden rope of faith. Now come back to earth, still holding the rope, pull on that rope.
And as you do, feel the weight of a bell on the other end of that rope, a bell that starts to ring in the heavens above. As the bell begins to swing, gently ease off the rope, then pull it again. Each time you ring that bell, its sounds will vibrate throughout your soul and body, purifying fear, chaos, guilt, sadness, and shame, and vibrating those emotions and feelings out of your soul and body.
The sound of the bell is heavenly. It harbors peace, power, and sanctuary. It clears the sleet of how others have shamed or judged you.
It clears the sleet of what others have thought of you. The sound of the bell brings out the true being of your soul. The sound of the bell brings back faith and starts to restore your soul, your heart, and your spirit.
Ring this bell for as long as you feel you need to during this meditation. You do not have to keep your arm up only if you'd like to. Once you are finished ringing the bell, envision the rope heading off above you up to the sky.
When the rope is out of sight, take a deep breath inward and release. Repeat this breath two more times, then open your eyes and slowly sit up. You are now in the process of rebuilding your faith.
Over time, come back to this exercise periodically to strengthen faith as needed. Any time fear comes your way, on any level, any way, no matter what, if fear comes your way, see the word, see the word fear, and then replace that word with the word faith. See, words do hold power.
Words can hold light. Words are powerful. And when you speak words, they are heard from above.
Every word you say, every word that leaves your mouth is heard from above. There is an audience. Something, someone is hearing your words.
And so, when you see that word, fear, or you think you see it or feel it, or you feel afraid, you're not sure if it's really fear, or you're just nervous, but whatever it is, you think it's fear in any way, see the word, see it clear, and then replace it with faith and see the word, faith. And what you do is when you replace that word, fear, with faith, watch the word, fear, get replaced. Watch it get covered up in any way you need to.
Watch it disappear. Watch it get moved out of the way, and then faith replacing it. And then you see the word, faith.
If you need to do this at night before bed, you're laying there in bed, you got the lights out, you got your eyes closed, and you're afraid of something, or you have some type of fear that's creeping up. See the word, fear, and then watch it go away. Push it out of the way with the word, faith, and see that word, faith, and then say out loud, faith, I have faith.
Yes, I have faith, faith, I have faith. And say it over and over again. You could whisper it.
You could say it out loud. You wonder, you wonder why things happen. But no matter what, good things can happen.
Good things will happen. Take a sigh. Can't lose track of that.
I know God knows. I know God cares. I just know.
We are here for a reason. And I know your faith will ride above all treason. This earth is filled with good and hate, and devils abound and demons that levitate.
But I know there is still good everywhere. And I know there are beacons of light walking the 144 path of 777 around the atmosphere. And I don't care if I have to hold faith for others until I'm blue in the face.
Because I know others will restore and pass that faith along to more and more. Behold the light of heaven. It's upon you and the ones that have the struggles and compassion for all that hurt and suffer and have lost their passion.
God loves you. The angels adore you. Wherever they are, you are not far.
Wherever you are, they are not far. There comes a time you will heal. You will feel like singing again.
And your faith will be more than just a spark, a glow. It will be a force that builds forever large.
