Bladder infections

Condition
  • Streptococcus: Bladder infections are caused by streptococcus bacteria
  • Bugs: Caused by bugs/bacterial infections
  • Strep bacteria: Caused by streptococcus bacteria
  • Primary pathogen: Strep bacteria (multiple varieties including strep A, strep B, and other strep groups) - described as the main cause behind bladder infections
  • Antibiotic resistance: Strep bacteria has become antibiotic resistant, making infections stronger and harder to treat. Only 75% may be killed off by antibiotics, leaving 25% behind to strengthen
  • Compromised immune system: Weakened immune system allows strep bacteria to take advantage and cause infections. Adrenaline from stress shocks immune cells and affects immune system function
  • Gender vulnerability: Women's immune systems fluctuate during menstrual cycles, making them more susceptible to bacterial infections. Zinc leaves other organs to protect reproductive system during menstruation
