  • Nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, red bell peppers) are commonly blamed for causing RA flares — this is incorrect. These foods are actually antiviral and help heal RA. The true culprits are eggs, dairy, gluten, and vinegar.
  • Start vitamin C infusions at a very low dose when beginning IV therapy for RA; build up slowly rather than starting high
  • Virus: A virus inflaming the joints, not the body attacking itself
  • Epstein-Barr virus: All varieties of Epstein-Barr virus - there are over 60 varieties in six different groups dating back to the late 1890s that have mutated into different strains
  • Antibodies detected are created to go after the virus, not to attack your body
  • Bacteria: Bacteria feeding off toxins in the liver
  • EBV: Caused by Epstein-Barr virus, not tomatoes or nightshades
  • Viruses: Caused by viruses in the herpes family
