Hashimoto's thyroiditis

Condition
Hashimoto's thyroiditis is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) attacking the thyroid gland — it is NOT an autoimmune condition. The body is not attacking itself. The autoantibodies detected in blood work are the immune system's correct response to fight EBV cells inside the thyroid, not to destroy thyroid tissue. Hashimoto's is the stage when EBV has progressed from the liver to directly inhabit the thyroid, creating severe enough inflammation to be detectable by touch and medical testing. It represents a more advanced form of EBV thyroid infection compared to hypothyroidism. The false autoimmune theory — that the body attacks itself — has been treated as medical law for over 70 years despite having no true scientific basis. Named after Dr. Hakaru Hashimoto who in the early 1900s observed swollen thyroids — the earliest cases when EBV first began invading thyroids due to arsenic and lead accumulation in the environment.
  • Aggressive EBV: Aggressive EBV causes Hashimoto's, fibromyalgia, lupus
  • Epstein-Barr virus: All varieties of Epstein-Barr virus - there are over 60 varieties in six different groups dating back to the late 1890s that have mutated into different strains

  • Epstein-Barr virus: Caused by Epstein-Barr virus, over 60 varieties exist
  • EBV: Caused by Epstein-Barr viruses inside the thyroid

  • Epstein-Barr virus: EBV gets into the thyroid after leaving the liver - this is what causes Hashimoto's
  • Epstein-Barr virus: EBV giving fatigue and brain fog
  • Epstein-Barr virus: EBV is the cause of Hashimoto's thyroiditis
  • Epstein-Barr virus: EBV slips into the thyroid and creates inflammation, not the body attacking itself
  • eggs_specific: Eggs are among the worst foods for Hashimoto's thyroiditis. The virus specifically looks for egg hormones and feeds off them like steroids. Even home-raised, organic, or pasture-raised eggs cause the same problem. Eggs are described as 'the reason why we have Hashimoto's thyroiditis' when consumed while EBV is active in the thyroid.
  • Eggs: Eggs are the reason why we have Hashimoto's thyroiditis
  • emotional_psychological_stress: Emotional stress and trauma trigger dormant EBV to activate and travel to the thyroid. Death of a loved one, divorce, betrayal, financial strain, wedding stress, graduation stress, and taking care of sick loved ones — all can trigger Hashimoto's in young women aged 22-32 and others who are zinc-deficient. Stress is a trigger for EBV activation, not a cause of autoimmunity.

  • EBV: Epstein-Barr virus has an afterlife and causes Hashimoto's thyroiditis
  • EBV_liver_to_thyroid_progression: Epstein-Barr virus incubates in the liver first, making it stagnant and sluggish, and causing fatty liver. As the liver becomes overwhelmed with viral load, EBV proliferates and then travels from the liver to the thyroid, burrowing into thyroid tissue. Over time the accumulated viral load weakens the thyroid and creates inflammation, leading to hypothyroidism at first, then to Hashimoto's as inflammation deepens and becomes detectable. Healing the liver is essential to Hashimoto's recovery.

  • Fast food: Fast food does not cause Hashimoto's - it's not from years of fast food consumption
  • EBV: Hashimoto's is caused by Epstein-Barr virus - the virus enters into the thyroid and inflames it, it's not the body attacking itself
  • Viral symptoms: Hashimoto's is one of the viral symptoms
  • Epstein-Barr virus: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is caused by Epstein-Barr virus
  • EBV stage 3: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is the third stage of Epstein-Barr virus
  • EBV_stage_3: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is the third stage of Epstein-Barr virus infection. Stage 1: Initial infection (often dormant). Stage 2: Mononucleosis (immune system battles EBV openly). Stage 3: EBV leaves the liver and heads to the thyroid, attaching to thyroid tissue and causing hypothyroidism and then Hashimoto's. Stage 4: EBV leaves the thyroid and aggravates nerves throughout the body, causing neurological symptoms.
  • Physical/medical trauma: Injuries, surgery (surgery + antibiotics = major trigger), insect bites can activate EBV.
  • Epstein-Barr virus: Low level Epstein-Barr virus creates Hashimoto's - medical science is 30-40 years behind on this
  • environmental_toxins: Mold, pesticides, herbicides (including DDT passed generationally), insecticides, paint fumes, and carpet cleaning chemicals trigger EBV activation from dormancy. Mold exposure is particularly potent, triggering dormant Epstein-Barr virus in the liver to activate while the immune system is already managing mold, pregnancy, and other stressors, leading to Hashimoto's.
  • Epstein-Barr virus: One of over 60 varieties of Epstein-Barr virus causes Hashimoto's thyroiditis
  • EBV_varieties: Over 60 varieties of Epstein-Barr virus exist across six groups of escalating severity, with roughly 10 types per group. Medical science has only found strains from one group. Some people have two Epstein-Barr strains in their thyroid causing both hyper and hypothyroid conditions simultaneously. More aggressive varieties cause Hashimoto's, fibromyalgia, and lupus.
  • physical_medical_trauma: Physical injuries, surgery (surgery combined with antibiotics is a major EBV trigger), and insect bites can activate dormant EBV and drive it toward the thyroid.
  • hormonal_changes: Puberty, pregnancy and childbirth, menopause, and perimenopause can trigger dormant EBV to activate and travel to the thyroid. Childbirth is an especially common trigger — Hashimoto's often develops 3 months after childbirth when the immune system is compromised. EBV is also the reason why Hashimoto's appears after second or third pregnancies.
  • Multiple EBV strains: Some people have two Epstein bars in their thyroid causing both hyper and hypo thyroid conditions
  • EBV: Started out with Epstein Barr in your system that percolated and proliferated over the years
  • NOT_autoimmune: The body does NOT attack itself in Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Immune systems do not become confused and attack thyroid tissue. The autoimmune theory calling this a self-attack is the greatest mistake of all time in medical history. The autoantibodies found in Hashimoto's are created by the immune system to seek out and destroy EBV — not to attack thyroid tissue. These antibodies are tagged specifically to attack only the virus. The virus itself inflames the thyroid, creates scar tissue, thyroid nodules, cysts, or tumors. Autoantibodies are proof that the body IS working correctly — fighting the viral invader. Even when Hashimoto's antibodies still show up after thyroid removal, it is because EBV remains in the system without a thyroid.
  • Viral inflammation: The virus itself inflames the thyroid tissue, creates scar tissue, thyroid nodules, cysts or tumors
  • heavy_metals: Toxic heavy metals (mercury from dental amalgam removal, other sources) feed EBV and trigger its activation. The viral condition worsens depending on how much heavy metal the person has in the body. Mercury deposits in the liver and thyroid are a primary fuel source for EBV, allowing the virus to thrive and proliferate.
  • Viral infection: Virus gets inside the thyroid - the sole reason for hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's, not the body attacking itself
  • EBV: Viruses love to enter glands, like the thyroid, creating Hashimoto's
  • zinc_and_B12_deficiency: Zinc deficiency (critical) and vitamin B12 deficiency (even if blood tests show normal) allow EBV to thrive. Zinc is the most important mineral for Hashimoto's — when a person is zinc deficient, EBV has the edge it needs. The world is currently zinc deficient due to depleted soils, giving EBV an advantage at the population level.
